Alpha-Phonics An effective, step-by-step, intensive phonics program designed for easy of use for both the teacher and student. Lessons and teacher guide are included in one comb-bound book that lays flat when open. Each of the 128 lessons take about 15 minutes to complete. There are no worksheets included, however it is simple to have the student copy words from the lesson into a notebook, thus practicing handwriting and spelling along with their phonics instruction. We chose to use the book as is without additional writing - with great success!

Teach Your Child to Read in 100 Easy Lessons Many homeschool families have found this to be the only program they need to teach reading. Based on the DISTAR method and not as traditional as other phonics programs, this step-by-step program teaches your child to read--with short, scripted lessons. The book is nonconsumable and there are no worksheets. Each lesson only takes about 20 minutes and children who successfully complete the book should be reading at 2nd grade level.

Phonics Pathways Now in its ninth edition, "Phonics Pathways (with help from Dewey the Bookworm) teaches students of all ages the rudiments of phonics and spelling with an efficient, practical, and foolproof method. Adventures in Phonics from Christian Liberty Press Some children enjoy a workbook-based approach to learning and this is a solid, well-organized program - and affordable, too! Fundamentals of phonics are taught in a logical sequence. These courses cover short and long vowels, consonants, and consonant blends, as well as essential word-recognition skills. Pilgrim's Progress in One Syllable Words Experience the journey with Christian as he travels to the heavenly city. Presented in words of one syllable for easy reading, this classic tale encourages young people to follow Christ to our final arrival in the Celectial City of God. Names of people and places are multi-syllable, but the rest of the text is written in easy to read words, without sacrificing literary quality. Great for children who are not quite ready for more difficult chapter books -- we used it for reading aloud practice and enjoyed great discussions about many spiritual truths.

The Robinson Crusoe Reader - Christian Liberty Press This will-illustrated book provides youngsters with exciting and morally uplifting reading material.
