One of the things we have purposed to do in our family is to equip our children with a strong biblical worldview. Oh, my children know lots of Bible stories, but we want to help them be able to discern the worldview of others in the areas of science, the media, etc. I know there is lots of scientific evidence to support the creation account in the Bible, but I don’t always know how to defend my belief against the humanistic, evolutionary thinking so prevalent in our society, not to mention trying to give my children the information they need to help them stand against the anti-creation bias that shows up all around us. I am so grateful for the folks at the Institute for Creation Research and Vision Forum for developing the Jonathan Park Adventure Series! These exciting, wholesome, family friendly stories teach our children (and us!) about the facts in our world that point to a creator and how to begin to dialog with those who do not look at the evidence the same way we do. All of this is done through conversations with the fictional characters in this incredible series as they interact with their family, friends, teachers and other scientists on their many adventures. Though the characters are fictional, the adventures take place in real places and rely on actual accounts of scientific discovery and research. This makes it easy for interested students to continue to learn more by doing additional reading on their own. There is so much information presented in these stories that you will want to listen to them over and over again. Since I was not raised in a Christian home, I really appreciate the support and information this series provides. Younger children will love the stories, many of them centered around interesting fossil discoveries and dinosaurs, but some of the “science’ might be lost on them – for now. Older children, teens and adults will be challenged and equipped to defend a Biblical worldview. Everyone in your family will be encouraged in your faith as you are reminded with each hair-raising adventure that God is in control of our circumstances and the blessing that come from trusting and obeying Him. In addition to the fascinating and exciting stories, this well-produced series also includes a free study guide with each CD album featuring additional facts, simple activities and discussion points.
