Easy Grammar - Now with separate grade levels!

*If you are familiar with Easy Grammar, you'll notice they have now separated the grade levels into a text for each year. The publisher has also changed their prices and added an optional Student Test Booklet. Overall, we like this change and we have always liked the usability of this program!*

If the thought of teaching grammar makes you groan, this program may put a smile on your face.  Using a building block format, concepts are presented in small, easy to understand increments, followed by plenty of practice. This is the only program I know of that introduces prepositions, not nouns & verbs, first.  The author teaches the student to eliminate prepositional phrases first in order to identify the core of the sentence more quickly. No matter which level you choose, it is quite handy to have a complete grammar course, instructions, workbook pages, etc., all in one book. There is little prep time and more than one student in the same grade range can be taught together. 

The teacher's edition has about 500 pages and contains all activity sheets, teaching instructions, and answers. Activity sheets are reproducible, but it since you would be copying about 250 pages of material, I recommend you purchase the reasonably priced student workbook.

Daily Guided Teaching & Review

For students not old enough for Easy Grammar, this teaching text is an ideal introduction to the understanding of language usage and skills. It is written with the Daily Grams format of 180 lessons, one per school day, and introduces and reviews concepts every day, including usage, dictionary skills, and sentence combining. Answers are provided in the text. Grades 2 & 3.
