Art Fraud Detective by Anna NilsenIncluding a free Art Detective magnifying glass, this one-of-a-kind book invites young readers to help spot the differences between fake and real masterpieces at the Museum of Art. "Art Fraud Detective" combines a mystery story, fun spot-the-difference puzzles, and a fantastic introduction to some of the world's greatest art. This is a fun way to expose your children to over 30 paintings from London's National Gallery. Interesting biographical information about each artist or material about each painting is included in the clue booklet. (There was only one painting that we found objectionable - though clothed, Quinten Massys', A Grotesque Old Woman could use a bit of tape across her dress bodice.) Otherwise, this book is a great way to get kids excited about art from various time periods, counties and different artistic styles. Teach art appreciation and history just got a big easier (and more fun, too)! |
